A Profound Act of Love

Families embarking on the arduous journey to find safety must leave behind everything. Everything they own, everyone they know. The homeland they love. They are resolute in their determination to find safety and stability for their family. Their stories are not just one of survival but a testament to their resilience, bravery, and the enduring spirit of a family steadfastly committed to creating a brighter future for their children.

Help Valeriia and her son Danyl find safety

My name is Valeriia, and I am reaching out on behalf of my precious son Danyl, who is nearing his third birthday.

The onset of war disrupted the tranquility of our household, plunging us into a state of perpetual fear and uncertainty. Every day, I worry for the safety of my family, especially my young son, who faces the threat of having his innocent childhood snatched away by the horrors of war. The occupation of our city happened swiftly, transforming familiar streets into zones of intimidation and danger, overseen by Russian forces. Our home, along with those of our neighbors, has been subjected to relentless searches, and we have endured threats due to our Ukrainian stance and perceived assistance to the Ukrainian military.

In search of safety, we made the heart-wrenching decision to leave our home, hoping to find refuge in a more secure part of Ukraine. Regrettably, the pervasive reach of the conflict means that no corner of our nation is truly safe from the alarms and the terrifying roar of missiles overhead.

My utmost priority is to shield my family from harm and to provide Danyl with an opportunity to experience a peaceful and joyful childhood.

Currently, I am considering a lifeline extended by friends who have relocated to the USA through the U4U program. They have generously offered assistance with accommodation and other essentials to help us start anew. To make this possible, I am seeking a kind-hearted sponsor to facilitate our application for the program.

Your help would mean the world to us, offering a beacon of hope in these dark times. We would be immensely grateful to anyone who can assist us in this desperate hour. You can contact me at serhiienkolera55778@gmail.com

Help Viktoriia and her family find safety from the conflict zone in Odessa. Help save their young son.

In the heart of Odesa, Ukraine, my family and I found ourselves trapped within the unrelenting grip of a war that had engulfed our beloved city. Our narrative unfolded against the backdrop of a once-vibrant metropolis, renowned for its rich culture and picturesque coastal allure, now obscured by the somber shroud of conflict.

Living in a conflict zone, we endured the harsh realities of our circumstances, constantly reminded of the pressing need to safeguard the safety and well-being of our child, particularly in the face of the frequent nighttime shelling that plagued our area.

I am Vikoriia, a holder of a Ph.D. in winemaking. Prior to the birth of our son, I had dedicated myself to a career at the Odesa National Technical University, specializing in the intricate study of merchandise, food, and beverages. A dedicated and earnest professional, I yearned to continue my academic pursuits and enhance my skills in the United States.  My proficiency in English resides somewhere between the B1 and B2 levels, but my determination to fortify my language skills knows no bounds. Furthermore, I am presently enrolled in a media buyer course, with the aim of securing an online job opportunity.

My husband, Oleksander, possesses a unique skill set. He is a proficient handyman with expertise in apartment repairs and a range of household tasks, including plumbing. His diligence, courtesy, and unwavering trustworthiness define his character. Proficient behind the wheel, he stands as a reliable and skilled driver. While his current grasp of the English language is at a basic A2 level, his commitment to daily language studies and his active search for English courses underscore his dedication to improvement.

Our young son, Vjacheslav, lovingly known as Slava, is a veritable bundle of energy. He has already begun his exploration of the English language through animated films. Our decision to relocate to the United States is primarily rooted in our unwavering desire to provide him with a safe and stable upbringing, far removed from the shadows of war.

The choice to embark on this journey to the USA is propelled by our aspiration to craft a better and more secure life for our family, free from the looming specter of war. We firmly believe that the United States holds unique opportunities for individuals like us. Our youth, diligence, and resilience fuel our pursuit of our goals and integration into American society. We aspire to work industriously, broaden our horizons, immerse ourselves in American culture, and cultivate lasting friendships.

Under the U4U program, we are actively seeking sponsorship to facilitate our transition. We are in need of assistance in the form of an invitation, initial housing arrangements, and potentially support with essential document preparation.

If you possess the means to assist us or can connect us with individuals or organizations willing to offer their support, our gratitude would know no bounds. We remain open to further discussions via WhatsApp or any other messenger to explore how we might collaborate. Your kindness and consideration are deeply appreciated in advance.
